Advancing Excellence in America's Nursing Homes

NCHCFA supports Advancing Excellence in America's Nursing Homes, a two-year campaign to improve the quality of care and quality of life for those living or recuperating in America's nursing homes. This groundbreaking national initiative aims to demonstrate measurable changes in care and employee support.

Focusing on how we care for elderly and disabled citizens, this voluntary campaign seeks to:

  • Monitor key indicators of nursing home care quality
  • Promote excellence in caregiving for nursing home residents
  • Acknowledge the critical role nursing home staff have in providing long-term care

Launched in September 2006, the campaign's unprecedented coalition includes long-term care providers, caregivers, medical and quality improvement experts, government agencies, consumers and others.
