FutureCare NC
In an effort to reinforce many of the changes that are underway in the North Carolina nursing home industry, the NC Health Care Facilities Association took the initiative in 2007 to create a new private educational and research foundation, FutureCare NC, to serve as the springboard for industry-wide efforts to bring the best and most solidly evidence-based care technologies and programs to the skilled nursing care facilities of our state. This new private, not-for-profit foundation will serve as the conduit for the assessment and dissemination of state-of-the-art technologies and best practices related to both medical/nursing care, as well as those strategies for enhancing the residential life experience of persons residing in these facilities.
FutureCare NC invites the participation of all segments of the NC nursing home industry as participants, as well as residents and their families and key members of other stakeholder and advocacy groups who share a commitment to the improvement of long-term care for the people of this state. FutureCare NC will seek the collaboration and financial support of private philanthropic foundations who share an interest in the enhancement of the quality of long-term care services and programs in our state, and, in partnership with these funding sources, FutureCare NC will seek to disseminate the best and most effective technologies and care management strategies throughout the industry, both in North Carolina and in other states.
